Exhaust flap control for standard exhaust flap
With FlapControl, you can open and close your vehicle's standard exhaust flap manually whenever you want.
It is controlled via the supplied radio remote control.
No intervention in the vehicle system, e.g. in the CAN bus, is necessary with our control unit.
Powerful engine sound from the start or quiet exhaust on the highway - you can decide for yourself with this flap control.
An exhaust flap system is created in a few simple steps. If the sports exhaust is too loud for you in certain situations,
simply close the flap with the remote control. These are just a few examples and there are many more.
The exhaust flap installed in the vehicle is controlled ex works by the vehicle's engine control unit.
When the flap is opened and closed depends on many factors. The selection of the drive program (Comfort or Sport),
but also speed, engine speed, gear, temperature, etc. determine the control of the exhaust flap.
Vehicle manufacturers equip cars with exhaust flaps to control the sound, volume and exhaust gas flow.
The switches installed by the vehicle manufacturer for driving programs or buttons for exhaust flaps are never permanently 100% open or closed,
but are constantly checked and controlled via the vehicle parameters.
This is where our flap control comes in, which has two or three buttons depending on the variant and controls the respective status 100%.
FlapControl is suitable for vehicles with vacuum and electrically controlled exhaust flaps.
The small auxiliary control unit can be installed inside or outside the vehicle. The diagnostic capability remains fully intact, no engine indicator light.

Modes
OPEN (sport mode)
With the OPEN function, the exhaust flap is 100% open. I.e. at all times and until you trigger a change by remote control.
Regardless of engine speed or speed. The vehicle signal that controls the exhaust flap has no effect in this mode.
The vehicle-side buttons for driving modes are retained except for the control of the exhaust flap.
SERIES (series mode)
In SERIES mode, the vehicle behaves, as the name suggests, like a standard vehicle without any modifications.
The flap control is equally invisible, as if it had not been installed. The vehicle controls all systems, including the exhaust flap, as before the flap control system was installed.
CLOSE (comfort mode)
The CLOSE function closes the exhaust flap 100% until you set another function.
Closing the exhaust flap reduces noise emissions.
In this mode, engine speed, engine load or similar factors have no influence on the position of the exhaust flap.
Please note that this may cause permanent damage to the Vehicle.

We have two versions of our flap controls: BASIC and PLUS
The BASIC version has a fixed start mode,

The PLUS version has the functions of the BASIC version plus
Memory function, adjustable start mode and optional CLOSE function.

Start mode
The start mode defines how the flap control should behave when the engine is started.
z. For example, if you have parked the vehicle or left it overnight, the start mode is activated when the engine is started.
Depending on the variant, you have various options.
The BASIC variant has a fixed starting mode. When ordering, you can choose between OPEN or SERIES.
With the PLUS version, you have the option of setting the start mode yourself using the remote control.
The PLUS version also has a memory function. Here, the start mode is automatically set to the state in which the vehicle was
the vehicle was parked and then starts immediately.
Memory function
PLUS variants only. With the memory function, the flap control unit remembers the mode that was last set.
If the vehicle is then restarted after being parked, the last set mode is reactivated.

The offer refers to one flap control per vehicle of the type listed above.
Taking into account how the exhaust flap of the vehicle is controlled and how many flaps it has.
This means that only one control unit is required per vehicle.
Our flap controls are for vehicles that have a controllable exhaust flap on the rear silencer ex works.
Please note that the article selection is only a basis for your vehicle and does not imply the presence of an exhaust flap.
For some vehicles, the presence of the exhaust flap also depends on the engine, equipment or year of manufacture.
If possible, check the usability of the control unit before purchasing; we will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
For vehicles without exhaust flaps ex works, we offer control units for exhaust conversions or modifications.
