Exhaust flap control for racing car with standard exhaust flap
With the FlapControl flap control system, you can manually open and close the standard exhaust flap on your racing vehicle.
The system is controlled using the supplied radio remote control.
Our control system does not require any intervention in the vehicle system, such as the CAN bus.
The exhaust flap installed in the vehicle is controlled ex-works by the vehicle's engine control unit.
When the flap is opened and closed depends on many factors. The selection of driving settings,
but also speed, RPM, gear, temperature, etc. determine the control of the exhaust flap
The switches for driving programs or buttons for exhaust flaps installed by the vehicle manufacturer are never permanently 100% open or closed,
but are constantly checked and controlled via the vehicle parameters.
This is where our flap control system comes in. Depending on the version, it has two or three buttons and controls the respective status 100%.
FlapControl is suitable for racing cars with negative pressure and electrically controlled exhaust flaps.
The small additional control unit can be installed inside or outside the vehicle. Diagnostic capability remains fully intact, no engine warning light.

Modes
OPEN (AUF)
The OPEN function opens the exhaust flap 100%.
You can set or change the function using the remote Control.
SERIE (AUTO)
In SERIES mode, the flap control is passive and the vehicle's engine control unit regulates the exhaust flap.
In this mode, all of the vehicle's protection and control systems are active.
CLOSE (ZU)
The CLOSE function closes the exhaust flap 100%.
Closing the exhaust flap reduces noise emissions.
In this mode, engine speed, vehicle speed, engine load, and similar factors have no influence on the position of the exhaust flap.
Please note that this can cause permanent damage to the Vehicle.
Start mode + memory function
The memory function is stored as the start mode for this control. With the memory function, the flap control remembers the mode that was last set.
When the vehicle is restarted after being switched off, the last mode set is reactivated.

The offer refers to one flap control per vehicle of the type listed above.
This takes into account how the vehicle's exhaust flap is controlled and how many flaps it has.
This means that only one control is required per vehicle.
Our flap controls are designed for racing vehicles that have a controllable exhaust flap on the rear silencer ex works.
Please note that the selection of items is only a basis for your vehicle and does not mean that an exhaust flap is present.
In some vehicles, the presence of the exhaust flap also depends on the engine, equipment, or year of manufacture.
